Kelly Behnke, TGPC, CIC, CISR, ACSR

Kelly Behnke roundedKelly has been with WEA Member Benefits since 2000. She has a high level of knowledge regarding 403(b) plan documents and compliance that she has shared with public school districts around the state. Kelly also assists districts and school employees by providing financial education, information, and product opportunities to assist them with building their financial security and making sound financial decisions.

Kelly holds a BBA from Edgewood College, Series 6 and 63 securities licenses, and life, health, property and casualty licenses. She is also holds Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC), Certified Insurance Service Representative (CISR), Accredited Customer Service Representative (ACSR,) and Tax-Exempt and Governmental Plan Consultant (TGPC) designations.  She is a registered representative of WEA Investment Services, Inc., a broker/dealer.

Kelly lives in Portage with her husband and son Calvin and has three grown daughters, Courtney, Kendra, and Sierra. She is a grandma to the cutest grandsons ever and enjoys spending time with her family and friends along with skiing, hunting, curling, camping, and many other outdoor activities.

Scott Nelson

Scott NelsonScott brings over 18 years of financial services and personal insurance experience to WEA Member Benefits. As a former educator and having owned his own financial services firm for 14 years, Scott understands the financial challenges facing educators. He is well versed in conducting seminars and workshops and is dedicated to helping educate members in areas of financial planning, retirement, and personal insurance.

Scott has three children and lives in Madison. He has also been a Track & Field Coach for over 25 years, having coached at Monticello, Middleton, UW-Madison, Mount Horeb, and Madison Memorial. He also enjoys travel, music, and being active in mountain biking, downhill skiing, speed skating, and running.

Paul M. Rushmann, ChFC™, CLU™

Paul Rushmann
Paul has over 33 years of experience working with individuals, families, and businesses securing their futures through education and proper product selection. He has worked with financial advisors across the United States, helping them provide for their clients by presenting workshops and educational boot-camps on the types of planning necessary to provide for the Certainty of Uncertainty when it comes to financial security.

Member Benefits has developed a myriad of resources, including presentations, which are designed to educate and inform members as to how to make good financial decisions in order to obtain a secure future and retirement. As a Worksite Benefit Consultant, Paul sees his primary responsibility to be a coordinator of these resources and offerings.

On a personal note, Paul and his wife Kristy live in Chippewa Falls with their little 10# Yorkie-Poo named Mani, and have many friends and family close by. Paul has two grown children and three grandchildren that keep he and Kristy busy and entertained as well. They enjoy many of the outdoor activities that the Chippewa Valley and Northwest Wisconsin provides including fishing, biking, and exploring.

Sharon Schmidt

Sharon Schmidt rounded

Sharon brings over 20 years of Property and Casualty experience to WEA Member Benefits. Before joining Member Benefits in July of 2001, Sharon worked for 15 years at CUNA Mutual Group. While there, she earned her CPCU designation. Sharon helped in designing the call center for the Bond and Commercial Property/Casualty Company. Since coming to Member Benefits, Sharon has earned her ARM designation and is a Registered Securities Representative. Sharon served as the President of the Dairyland Chapter of CPCU's during 2003-2004 term. 

Sharon's strengths include her no nonsense approach to explaining the value of our programs to both administration and union leaders. When not on the road visiting schools or conducting seminars, she enjoys traveling, especially to Thailand, and is active with local Square Dance organizations, so you might see her do-si-do-ing down your school hallways.
